I’m Honest – Prove it!
[Ok, I told myself I wasn’t going to write much (cause I actually have work to do), but I have so much I want to share.]
What would you do if you found a lost wallet- or cell phone- with a sticker on it that said “ It’s Return will reward you –ImHonest.com. In order words, if you log onto ImHonest.com and return the wallet or cell phone you would ultimately get some kind of reward, not to mention, the “feel-good effect.�
Well, I met up with Joel Nunez, (a very honest guy –no pun intended), he’s the president and CEO of Imhonest.com and his idea is counting on the social aspect of omnipresent honesty.
So here’s how it works:
1)Â Â Â Â Â Tiffany has a $500 cellphone, so she goes to ImHonest.com, registers it and receives a small identification label to affix on her $500 cellphone
2)     During a night of late partying (probably at Compound), an  attractive member of the opposite sex (probably some guy called Emmanuel 
approaches her to engage in some rather obscure, but yet strangely delightful conversation
3)Â Â Â Â Â While chit chatting with the handsome young lad, she reaches into her purse, (an attempt to accept a fake call, hence disengage the conversation), but suddenly realizes her $500 cellphone is gone!
4)     Whoa!..Tiffany is in complete distress, but seamlessly maintains her cool knowing that a) She registered her phone on Imhonest.com so someone will turn it in, and b) She doesn’t want Emmanuel to think she’s insane for freaking out over a $500 cell phone.
[Scene changes]
5)     Tyrone Biggsbe is getting his dance on and suddenly feels a solid item objecting his melodic movements. Alarmed, and somewhat irritated, he looks down and notices he’s stepped on a  freaking $500 phone
[Scene pauses]
6)     What will he do? A) look at the label and say…�I must logon to Imhonest.com  as soon as possible to turn this phone in� or, b) “This is a fine ass phone and I just hope it works with [insert cell provider here]’s service.
Well Joel is banking on the fact that most people are indeed honest and Tyrone will in fact logon to the site and return the phone.
Makes me wonder what most people will do?
